From the President...
Thank you for visiting our Twin Cities Illini Club website!
The Twin Cities Illini Club offers a multitude of social,
networking, community, and sporting events to all alumni of the University of
Illinois who live in and around the Twin Cities.
We do not charge membership dues, but we do ask our members for
donations. We use these donations to support our events as well as to provide
an annual scholarship to an incoming UIUC freshman from the Twin Cities area.
Each year we schedule more than 40 Illini football and basketball
gamewatches at our home location -- Champps-Richfield. We regularly attend football, basketball and
volleyball games to cheer on the Illini when they come to Minneapolis to play
the University of Minnesota. We hold
quarterly volunteer events to give back to our community. And we co-host events with our friends
from the other local Big Ten alumni clubs… such as the annual Big Ten softball
We can’t do all of this without the support of our members… just
We are always on the lookout for new ideas for events and
activities to help us grow our club. If
you are interested in getting involved with our club, or just want to learn
more about us, please send me a note at TCIlliniClub@gmail.com.
Whether you can give one hour a week or one hour a year – there are
always opportunities to help us with our activities! Without volunteers, we would not be able to
grow as we have over the past few years…
